The Academy of Occupational and Environmental Medicine Malaysia successfully organised their 31st Technical Updates (TU31) on the 7 July 2018 at the Vistana Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The technical updates discussed issues related to enhancing occupational health services. There were six local and regional presenters who presented their papers. Dr John Lim a consultant occupational physician from the Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in Singapore presented an “Overview of current models of occupational health practice in Singapore”. Dr Hazlee Abdul Hadi an occupational health physician from the Prince Court Medical Centre presented on “Current opportunities and challenges in providing occupational health services”. Associate Professor Dr Anselem Su Ting from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UniMAS) presented his paper on “Roles of health promotion in Occupational Health Services”. Dr Khairul Hafidz Alkhair Khairul Amin from MedTweetMy and Ministry of Health Malaysia presented his paper on “Social Media and Health Promotion at Workplace”. Dr Edrin Nazri Abdul Rasib from the Social Security Organization presented on “Return of Investment of Health Promotion”. Dr Jefferelli Shamsul Bahrin the Regional Head, Corporate Health Management of BASF EHS Services Asia Pacific presented his paper on “An approach to wellness and health promotion in the workplace – BASF’s Culture of Health”.
