Introduction
We are now in the second year of the COVID-19 pandemic and business travel has begun tentatively. Governments are uncertain how to manage these movements of people in the course of re-invigorating business not only within the respective countries but as well as trans-boundary travels.
Even before the pandemic there were already travel-related health and safety concerns for business travellers. But now these concerns have been magnified and become even more pertinent. Hence, this Technical Update.
Objectives
This session hopes to provide a timely reminder about the perils faced by the business travellers and how to minimise the risks. Amongst the topics that will be covered include assessment of fitness for business travellers as well as those who are being sent to assignments/projects in remote areas where medical facilities may not be easily accessible.
The roles of emergency medical assistance provision will be spelt out while whether COVID-19 vaccination passport will be the norm henceforth. Concerns for the mental health of business travellers as well as assignees will also be considered.

Occupational Health Physicians, Public Health Physicians, Occupational Health Doctors, Medical Specialists, Medical Practitioners, Occupational Health Nurses, Assistant Medical Officers and Safety & Health Officers.
