Introduction
In the current COVID-19 pandemic and the constant lockdown and restriction of movement, many people are required to work from home. The needs for working from home may stay with us for a foreseeable future as the COVID-19 pandemic drags on and there is no end in sight. There are both benefits and disadvantages of working from home from the workers and employers’ perspective. There are also issues related to occupational safety and health for people working from home.
This Technical Update – “Working from Home (WFH) – Is it Here to Stay?” will discuss on the topics on the legal aspect, compensation, mental health issues, ergonomics, and presenteeism and absenteeism of working from home. It will also discuss on the Future of Work.
