Objectives
According to statistics from the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Noise-Induced Hearing Loss is one of the most common occupational illnesses affecting workers in Malaysia today.
For the first time since 1989, the laws relating to noise exposure at the workplace have undergone a major revision by DOSH. The older regulations, previously known as the Noise Exposure Regulations 1989 under the Factory and Machineries Act 1967, have been revoked and replaced with the Occupational Safety and Health (Noise Exposure) Regulations 2019.
The new regulations, which contain several major changes, are scheduled to take effect from 1st June 2019. The AOEMM is organizing this technical update, featuring guest speakers from DOSH, in order to provide an opportunity for Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Practitioners to learn and be prepared before the implementation of these new regulations.
Who should attend the course?
Occupational Health Physicians, Occupational Health Doctors, Medical Specialists, Medical Practitioners, Occupational Health Nurses, Assistant Medical Officers, Safety and Health Officers and Assistant Environmental Health Officers.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Points
- 12 Continuous Education Program (CEP) points will be offered for eligible doctors to obtain Department of Occupational Safety and Health CEP points
