PROGRAM DETAILS
INTRODUCTION
Over the past few years we have been experiencing numerous catastrophic weather events which have been attributed to climate change and environmental degradation. Having to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic has not helped. Not only are we concerned with the quality of air we breathe in our daily life, COVID-19 has concentrated our minds on how best to improve the indoor air quality that we work in as well as live in. Of course, our drinking water continues to worry us to the point that we have resorted to all sorts of filter mechanisms to make our drinking more potable. Environmental degradation from industrial and human activities have upset the balance between humans and nature leading to global warming and its impact on our health. These various interactions impact all of us and we have to individually play our part to minimise the adverse effects before we go past the tipping point!
Hence, this Technical Update has been planned to educate us as well as offer possible ways to contribute to minimise the wholesale environmental degradation which will likely spell the doom of our human species.
