The AOEMM will be organising the Occupational Hearing Loss and Audiometry Workshop which will be held on Saturday, 5 September 2020, 8.00 am to 5.15 pm at Capri by Fraser, Johor Bharu.
According to statistics from the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Noise-Induced Hearing Loss is one of the most common occupational illnesses affecting workers in Malaysia today.
The AOEMM is organising this workshop in collaboration with DOSH, which we hope will be beneficial to attendees. This workshop will consist of both theoretical, practical audiometry and case discussion sessions facilitated by experienced Occupational Health Practitioners.
By the end of this Workshop, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate procedures in conducting audiometric testing
- Explain the criteria for diagnosing Occupational Hearing Loss
- Describe the interpretation of audiograms in occupational health practice
- Discuss key areas in implementing Hearing Conservation Programmes at the workplace
