In the quest to provide excellent health care services to our patients, healthcare professionals stumble across numerous hazards and risks that may exist in our daily activities at the healthcare facilities. Healthcare professionals quite often brush aside the health and safety issues lurking at our doorsteps. The challenges faced by healthcare professionals are numerous; ranging from biological, chemical, physical, ergonomic and psychological hazards. It is in the backdrop of all these challenges, the impetus to organize this technical update is organised to handle the practical aspects of occupational health and safety issues for
healthcare professionals.

The 30th AOEMM Technical Update jointly organised by AOEMM and Perdana University and supported by the Social Security Organization (SOCSO) and Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) will be held on the 14 May 2018 (Monday) at Perdana University in Serdang, Selangor. The title of the TU is “A date with OH Hazards @ Healthcare Facilities”

Who should attend the course?

Occupational Health Physicians, Occupational Health Doctors, Medical Specialists, Medical Practitioners, Occupational Health Nurses, Assistant Medical Officers, Safety and Health Officers and Assistant Environmental Health Officers.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Points

  • Continous Professional Development (CPD) points will be offered for eligible doctors to obtain National Specialist Register and MMC CPD points.
  • Continuous Education Program (CEP) points will be offered for eligible doctors to obtain Department of Occupational Safety and Health CEP points
