In the quest to provide excellent healthcare services to our patients, Healthcare Professionals stumble across numerous hazards and risks that may exist in our daily activities at the health care facilities. Healthcare Professionals quite often brush aside the health and safety issues lurking at our doorsteps. The challenges faced by health care professionals are numerous; ranging from biological, chemical, physical, ergonomic and psychological hazards. It is in the backdrop of all these challenges, the impetus to organize this technical update is organized to handle the practical aspects of occupational health and safety issues for health care professionals.
The Academy of Occupational And Environmental Medicine Malaysia and Medical Education Training Academy, Perdana University with the support from Social Security Organisation (SOCSO) will be organizing the 29th Technical Updates on 8 Aug 2017 (Tuesday) at Perdana University, Serdang, Selangor. The title of the TU is “Occupational Health and Safety at Healthcare Facilities”
Objectives
- Describe the various health and safety issues at the Healthcare facilities.
- Describe the preventive measures to overcome Health and Safety matters.
- Discuss the legislations (Regulations and Guidelines) on Health and Safety pertaining to the subject matter
