ACOH2026: UNDERGRADUATE OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH TEAM PROJECT WRITING COMPETITION

PROMOTING EARLY ENGAGEMENT OF MEDICAL STUDENTS IN OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH PRACTICE.
This competition encourages student-led projects that address workplace hazards, risk assessment, and prevention strategies—strengthening competency and contributing to a healthier, safer future.

ELIGIBILITY
-Teams of undergraduate medical or allied health students from Asia Pacific institutions
-Maximum ten authors per team
-Faculty supervisor endorsement required
-Expected participation fifty teams

SUBMISSION FORMAT
-Structured abstract: maximum 500 words
-Suggested structure: background, objectives, methods, results or findings, conclusion
-Vancouver reference style
-Submission by email to the conference secretariat

JUDGING CRITERIA
Three reviewers: occupational physicians, public health medicine specialists, and academics.

Assessment domains
-Relevance to occupational health practice
-Quality of hazard identification and preventive approach
-Scientific rigour and clarity of reporting
-Educational and public health impact

TIMELINE
Call for submissions: 26 May 2026
Submission deadline: 1 July 2026
Review period: 2 – 20 July 2026
Final decision: 25 July 2026

Awards for first, second, and consolation will be presented during the Annual General Meeting on 4 August 2026 in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.
