The Academy of Occupational and Environmental Medicine Malaysia (AOEMM) announces a recent change in the composition of its Council for the 2024–2026 term.
Resignation of Dr Edwin Ho
Dr Edwin Ho has formally resigned from his position as Council Member, effective 24 October 2025, citing personal reasons. The AOEMM acknowledges and deeply appreciates Dr Ho’s valuable contributions throughout his tenure. His commitment to the advancement of Occupational and Environmental Medicine in Malaysia has left a positive impact, and we thank him for his dedication and service.
In his resignation letter, Dr Ho expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and learn from the AOEMM community, stating:
“It has been a rewarding experience, and I have greatly valued the chance to contribute to and learn from the Occupational Health fraternity.”
Appointment of Dr Mohd Fikri Bin Rosely

Following this resignation, the Academy is pleased to announce that Dr Mohd Fikri Bin Rosely, from the Ministry of Health Malaysia, has been appointed as a Council Member through co-option. Dr Fikri brings a wealth of experience in occupational health and public service, and we are confident that his expertise will greatly benefit the Academy’s ongoing initiatives and strategic direction.

This transition marks the Academy’s ongoing commitment to fostering leadership within the occupational and environmental health community. The inclusion of representatives from key institutions such as the Ministry of Health, Department of Occupational Safety & Health and PERKESO ensures that the Academy remains well-aligned with national priorities and continues to play a vital role in shaping policy, education, and best practices in the field.
