The Academy of Occupational and Environmental Medicine Malaysia (AOEMM) extends its sincere congratulations to YBrs. Ir. Ts. Hajah Hazlina Binti Yon on her appointment as the Ketua Pengarah (Director General) of the Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia (Jabatan Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan, JKKP). Her appointment, under the Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia (Kementerian Sumber Manusia), took effect on 16 March 2026.

The Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) plays a central role in safeguarding the safety, health, and welfare of workers across Malaysia. Through the enforcement of occupational safety and health legislation, development of national policies, and promotion of preventive practices in workplaces, DOSH remains a key institution in strengthening the country’s occupational health system.
AOEMM recognises the critical partnership between DOSH and occupational health professionals in Malaysia. Collaboration among regulators, clinicians, researchers, and industry stakeholders is essential to advance evidence-based policies, strengthen workplace medical surveillance, and improve prevention strategies for occupational diseases and injuries.
